Christina Aguilera Returns With Kanye West-Produced Single, "Accelerate"
It's been 6 years since Christina Aguilera has released a full-length album. 2012's Lotus bared a sound that was heavily reliant on the EDM trends peaking at its time, and was ultimately considered a flop.
Today, XTina returns with, "Accelerate", the first single off of her upcoming album, Liberation. The song features Ty Dolla $ign and 2 Chainz, with production coming from G.O.O.D. Music's Che Pope, Mike Dean, and none other than Kanye West.
The steamy single sees Aguilera finding an age-appropriate way to still deliver something utterly sensual over Kanye's sparse production. This is only further asserted by Ty Dolla $ign's feature, which sees the crooner's vocals sounding more raw than they ever have.
Liberation is set to release June 15th on RCA Records, marking XTina's 9th overall release on the label. Billboard Magazine has reported that an additional Kanye West beat sampling Michael Jackson will appear on the project.
