Vice Officially Announce "VICELAND" TV Channel

In recent memory, Vice Media Inc. has been a dominant and ground breaking force for the way we view news, music, culture and more. For months, it had been speculated that the media giants were in talks to launch their own TV network, taking over the A+E Network's "H2" history channel. Today, Vice finally broke their silence, announcing "VICELAND". In a letter from the staff of Vice, it was revealed that the channel will feature "hundreds of hours of new programming" that they have been working on for a number of months. The staff elaborated with the following:

"When we started making [this content], collaborating with our friends in the extended VICE family, we really didn't know how they would come together to create a TV channel. But when we saw what we had, we knew we were on to something really special." - Vice Staff

As for collaborators, Spike Jonze has been involved in working on the channel, stating that the ultimate objective with the channel would be "Trying to understand the world we live in by producing pieces about things we're curious about, or confused about, or that we think are funny."

As for specifics in terms of the programming, the network will continue to incorporate content from Vice subdivisions such as Noisey, Motherboard, Vice News and Muchies. The trailer below shows a preview of what is yet to come in terms of content, including familiar faces Ellen Page, Kendrick Lamar and fan favourite, Action Bronson with his "F*ck, That's Delicious" show:

It has been reported that the Walt Disney Company allegedly invested a whopping $200 Million into the channel in order to help it run. Will you be tuning in to "VICELAND"? Sound off in the comments below.
