Run The Jewels to Headline Toronto's Time Festival
While rival city Montreal is known for its slew of massive summer festivals such as Osheaga, Just for Laughs, and Jazz Festival, Toronto respectably holds its fort down with a number of smaller, more intimate festivals. The Embrace Presents-helmed Time Festival is one of the highlights of Toronto's summer festival circuit, a one-day event that showcases some of the most electric and current acts in Indie, Electronic, and Hip-Hop music. Time Festival alumni include the likes of musicians such as Grimes (2014 headliner), Mac DeMarco (2015), A-Trak (who played the first two Time Fests in 2008 and 2009), and many more. Earlier this afternoon, Embrace revealed the lineup for this years festival. In 2016, Time Festival present their first hardcore Hip-Hop headliner, Run the Jewels, along with a number of fellow move-makers and game-changers:
As always, the festival also features a number of notable Canadian performers, including home-grown talent Bob Moses, Tops, Jacques Greene, and Harrison, among others.
