Mr. Wavvy Turns 3!
Today marks 3 years since my very first interviews as Mr. Wavvy! Wanted to take the time out to thank all of my fans, friends, and family for your continued support over the years. Came a long way from the lanky, curly haired kid rocking the Rasta Star of David chain, yet never too far... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bvaeSrOcZ1M
I would be nothing without all of you, thank you for every single like, share, comment, and compliment. Even the negative press is a blessing in disguise, wouldn't be doing what I do if I took most of it to heart!
I've always said that the goal with this is to have fans connect to their favourite artist on some type of deeper level. This year has been a particularly strong one for having that objective fulfilled. Whether it was Tech N9ne detailing the heart wrenching story that made him quit hard drugs, Travis Barker going into great detail for the first time on why Tom DeLonge got the boot from Blink-182, or Royce da 5'9" sharing his roller coaster of a journey to sobriety, there were definitely many was for people to find a deeper bond to the artists they love.
On a personal level, it was a dream come true seeing my work featured on some of my favourite websites and magazines such as Billboard, international versions of Rolling Stone, NME, HipHopDX, DJBooth, and Yahoo Music, to name a few.
The wave is far from over. Expect lots of exciting interviews within the coming months, along with podcast appearances, writing for other publications, and much more. Don't forget to embrace the awkward, be the awkward, let the awkward live inside of you! Here's to another wonderful, wavvy year ahead.
