Lil Yachty Is Back With A Vengeance With Beats 1 Freestyle

Hot 97 radio host Ebro Darden has built a reputation for being critical of many New School rappers, particularly of the "mumble rap" variety. One of the clearest examples of Darden's disapproval was in June of this year, when he had Atlanta emcee Lil Yachty freestyle over drum-heavy, New York style beats on his show, Ebro in the Morning.

Unfortunately for Yachty, he flopped hard, and Ebro nor his co-hosts let him get away for it, with Peter Rosenberg swiftly spitting bars significantly tighter following Yachty's miss. Following his Hot 97 beef, Darden and Yachty indulged in a fairly publicised beef, which included the "Minnesota" rapper hopping on the phone on-air to talk through the radio host's issues with the young gunner.

Flash forward to yesterday afternoon. in which Lil Yachty appears on Darden's Beats 1 program to put their beef to an end, talk about his career, debut new music, and most importantly, have another opportunity to prove to Ebro that he is a qualified rapper.

Tackling Craig Mack's infamous "Flava In Ya Ear" instrumental, the Atlanta rapper flows arguably better than he has ever before, proving to Darden and the world that he is more than just carefree and gimmicky:

In another interview from earlier this month with Portland radio station WE 96.3, Yachty stated that fans should expect another project in late December. Hopefully, he will bring more "Flavor in Our Ears", along with flows and lyricism similar to the freestyle above...
