Kidd Kidd Take 10th Spot On XXL Freshman Class Cover

When we interviewed G-Unit's Kidd Kidd back in February, he made it clear that he was gunning for the cover of XXL's 2015 Freshman Class issue:

In the subsequent weeks, Kidd kept his word with what he had stated during the interview, promising to drop new music throughout the voting dates of the fan chosen 10th spot on the prestigious cover. During this time, the Louisiana rapper offered fans freestyles over various popular instrumentals, including Drake's 10 Bands and The Notorious B.I.G.'s Juicy.

Today XXL revealed the cover for their Freshman Class issue and it seems as if Kidd Kidd's hard work has indeed payed off!

Kidd Kidd is 1 out of 4 Southern rappers to grace the cover, although he is the only one from Louisiana, whereas Raury, K Camp and OG Maco all hail from Atlanta, Georgia (although K Camp was technically born in Milwaukee, he was raised in A-Town).

How does this list compare to previous years? Do you think anyone is missing from the 2015 cover? Check out the behind the scenes video of the cover shoot below and stay tuned for the Freshman cyphers coming soon!
