J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar Remix Each Other's Hits for "Black Friday"

As if the shopping didn't make Black Friday crazy enough! Thanksgiving weekend is always a big time for music releases. This weekend, we have already seen new projects surface from the likes of Erykah Badu, Rihanna, Lil Wayne and many others. Adding to the new music insanity, rappers and frequent collaborators J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar have each released songs titled "Black Friday" via the Soundcloud accounts of Dreamville Records and Top Dawg Entertainment, each of their respective record labels (J. Cole founded Dreamville while Kendrick is merely signed to Tog Dawg).

The songs see Cole and Lamar going over each other's popular records, with Jermaine providing his own colorful visions to Kendrick's "Alright" anthem, while K. Dot gets gruesome over Cole's "A Tale of 2 Citiez"

Previously, the two rappers have discussed hopes of making an album together. This idea was prominently discussed around 2012/13, a time when both rappers were releasing sophomore albums. Since then, such talks have since fizzled down, the rappers citing ever-conflicting schedules as the reason for which such a project has yet to materialize.

However, a mysterious bleep in Cole's "Black Friday" after he raps the following:

Dreamville in this motherfucker, Top Dawg in this motherfucker When you and K. Dot shit dropping? Bitch never, they can’t handle two black n*ggas this clever But this Feburary, bet shit get scary when I fuck around and drop...

Could the long awaited J. Cole/Kendrick Lamar album finally be coming together? Guess we'll have to wait for February to find out!
