Eminem's Manager Brushes Off Rumours of Drake Beef
"People spread rumours, But they ain't got proof" - Eminem
Earlier today, Hot 97 radio personality Ebro Darden made headlines when he detailed a conversation he had with Drake this past weekend, in which the two discussed an alleged diss track Eminem is set to release aimed towards the Canadian rapper. Of course being the gentleman that he is, Drake laughed it off, telling the DJ, "That’s not gonna happen. He’d never do that and if he did, I’ve got something for him too.":
The rumour even seems semi-logical. Drake is currently indulged in a beef with Joe Budden (whom Ebro and Drake also discussed in their apparent conversation), who is signed to Eminem's Shady Records as a member of Slaughterhouse. This wouldn't be the first time Eminem involved himself in one of his artists' beefs. After signing 50 Cent in the early 2000s, Marshall Mathers suddenly found himself sucked in to 50's then-vicious feud with Ja Rule. With legendary attacks such as "Hail Mary 2003" and "Bump Heads", it is generally considered that the beef lead to the demise of Ja's career.
However, a new tweet by Eminem's longtime manager, Paul Rosenberg, seems to dismiss any potentially brewing beef as pure fiction:
While we're glad to hear it's (seemingly) all love between the two "Forever" collaborators for now, we can't help but imagine how epic a beef between the two would be. Eminem -- a lyrically technical mastermind known for putting careers in graves vs. Drake -- arguably rap's biggest figure at the moment who truly proved himself as a skilled attacker last summer during the peak of his beef with Meek Mill. The possibilities are endless!
While news on a new Eminem album is null (word is that the project's delay stems from a lack of inspiration), his artists are certainly cooking up. While Yelawolf seems to be nearing the finish line of completing his upcoming third album, Trial By Fire, Slaughterhouse and Bad Meets Evil's Royce da 5'9 has been working on a plethora of projects, which he discussed with us when we sat down with the rapper earlier this year:
