Did Dr. Dre Produce the Upcoming X Ambassadors Remix Featuring Jay-Z?
It's been a while since we've heard the good doctor step to the mic. In fact, the last time Dr. Dre laid down a verse was nearly 2 years ago on Kendrick Lamar's "Compton". With Beats making him money that he would never dream of seeing with hip-hop, who could really blame him? Thankfully, it seems like Dre's absence from the booth might finally be coming to an end. Hours ago, the hip-hop heavyweight sent this mysterious tweet directed to none other than Jay-Z:
Welcome to the jungle @S_C_
— Dr. Dre (@drdre) June 14, 2014
Since then, it has been speculated that Dre may have handled production for a remix of the song "Jungle" by X Ambassadors and Jamie N Commons. Interestingly enough, both artists were featured on Eminem's "Marshall Mathers LP 2", which Dre executive produced.
Other than this, the remix could very well just be featured on an upcoming Beats commercial. The original was featured in their FIFA promo and the clip below, which features a snippet of Jay's verse, shows footage featured in the original ad.
Stay tuned for the official release of the remix, which we could only assume would be within the coming week or so.
