Big Boi on OutKast Biopic: "Stay Tuned"

We've got some news for y'all today that is "Cooler than a polar bear's toenails"! Last week, Phantogram and Big Boi participated in a Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything) in support of their upcoming Big Grams collaborative EP. The 7 track project is set to be released on September 25th via Epic Records and will feature guests Run The Jewels and Skrillex. The EP's first single, "Fell In The Sun" has already been released and is absolutely bumpin'!

During the Reddit AMA, the trio answered many insightful questions regarding the project, as well as their personal lives. But without a doubt, the standout question of the AMA was when a fan decided to ask Big Boi whether he and his OutKast partner-in-rhyme André 3000 had ever considered the possibility of a biopic based on the duo. The question was answered by Big, who had Hip-Hop fans everywhere going bananas with his answer:

With Big Boi and André 3000 being our favourite rappers, this is definitely something we would love to see. As much as 2006's Idlewild (a fictional HBO-produced film that the two starred in) had them playing characters who appropriately reflected their individual personalities, the film ultimately remains under appreciated, a cult classic among core fans.

Our only concern with this would be that given the recent release of Straight Outta Compton along with the upcoming Dogg Pound 4 Life (produced by Daz Dillinger about the Death Row empire) and a standalone Tupac biopic directed by John Singleton, we're starting to become nervous that this is a market that will ultimately become over saturated.

Aside from this exciting news, here are some other pieces of information we learned from this AMA:
