Jay Rock has earned his first platinum plaque with "King's Dead" The single - which also features frequent hit-makers Kendrick Lamar, Future, and James Blake - also serves as the Compton rapper's first Top-40 hit, having peaked at #21 on the Billboard Hot 100. Apart from the single's chart success, "King's Dead"'s platinum status can also be attributed to its hilarious music video, inclusion on the Black Panther soundtrack, and a plethora or memes featuring Future's unorthodox bridge.

In other Jay Rock news, TDE CEO Anthony "Top Dawg" Tiffith has hinted that the rapper's album arrival is imminent. The head honcho recently posted a photo to Instagram in which he was meeting with colleagues to map out marketing for the upcoming project.
