Kings of Leon Rumoured to Headline Osheaga 2017

As festival season approaches, rumours grow stronger. While Montreal’s Osheaga has kept relatively quiet about any potential artists playing their 2017 edition, a recent tour announcement by Tennessee-based Kings of Leon suggests that the band could be headlining the iconic Canadian music festival this year.

Yesterday, KOL expanded their upcoming tour to include a sole Canadian date, along with stops in upper New York around the time of Osheaga. Specifically, the band have two days off from August 3-4, between shows in Darien Center (August 2nd) and Syracuse (August 5th), NY, two cities both hours away from Montreal. With Osheaga beginning on the 4th, speculation has begun regarding the band possibly headlining the festival.

Osheaga typically make their lineup announcement towards late February or early March. Muse have also been noted as a strong possibility for the festival’s 12th edition, as pointed out by 99Scenes.
