Earlier this year, when we spoke to Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, he discussed many of the themes that would appear on the band’s then-upcoming seventh studio album, stating “There is definitely a sense of Los Angeles being a big part of this album”. He also revealed that the album’s first single would be dropping at the top of the summer, followed by a tour:
To the surprise of many fans, the single, “Bored to Death”, was actually pushed up to a spring release date, which followed with the long-awaited California finally dropping earlier this month. The album, the band’s first with Alkaline Trio’s Matt Skiba replacing founding member Tom DeLonge, is sure to bring fans back to the days of the Blink’s eponymous 5th LP, equipped with Pop-Punk anthems and ridiculous interludes that helped fans first fall in love with the boys.
To celebrate the release of California, we’ve teamed up with Sony Music Quebec to give away a free copy of the album! Simply enter here for your chance to win.
