September 2015 was definitely an exciting time for music. The month saw fantastic new releases from some of our favourite artists such as Mac Miller, Lana Del Rey, Disclosure and even the Rolling Stones’ Keith Richards. But perhaps the greatest (and most slept on) of September releases was Big Grams, the new EP by the new trio consisting of OutKast’s Big Boi and Indie-Electronic sweethearts, Phantogram.
Continuing where they left off with 3 collabs on Big Boi’s last solo album, Vicious Lies And Dangerous Rumors, the 7-song EP, touches on the seven deadly sins, only celebrating them instead of looking down on them. One thing we’ll always love about Big Boi as a rapper is that he is constantly evolving, continuing to grow as an artist with every project, and this continues to be true with Big Grams.
Between Big’s funky flow, Sarah Barthel’s angelic voice (along with rap verses on a couple of songs) and the spacey yet mesmerizing production, Big Grams definitely goes down as one the best Hip-Hop projects of the year.
Considering how much we love this EP, we wanted a chance to share it with all of you! Enter below for your chance to take home the project on CD:
